The 4-Way Test Of the things we think, say or do - 1. Is it the TRUTH? 2. Is it FAIR to all concerned? 3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? 4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

What is Repair Affair?
Repair Affair provides home repairs for handicapped and senior citizens in need of assistance. Last year, over 150 volunteers helped repair 35 homes. Repairs included roof replacements and repairs, interior and exterior painting, gutter and downspout replacements, door repairs, electrical work, plumbing projects, porch repairs, vinyl and carpet replacement, stair repair, caulking, and major yard projects. As much as possible, the repair work is done by volunteers with guidance from a volunteer Team Captain, who is an experienced craftsperson. There is no cost to the homeowner.

How can I get assistance?
In order to receive assistance, a person or family must be physically challenged or over age 60 and have a modest income, and must be the homeowner. Applications may be picked up in Versailles at Senior Citizen's Center, Family Eye Care (105 Crossfield Drive) ERA ShowPlace Realty on South Main Street; in Midway at United Bank or City Hall; or you can call Alan Sutherland at  and ask to have one mailed to you. You can also download an application by clicking               . The application deadline is Friday, July 18, 2007.
How can I help?
Each year the success of Repair Affair depends on the number of volunteers who donate services as well as the amount of money and/or materials donated. Repair Affair uses a team approach, providing specialists and unskilled workers to work together to accomplish the needed repairs. Repair Affair provides a great opportunity for your company, group, or organization to support the community.  Anyone interested in volunteering for this years Repair Affair can contact: Alan Sutherland at  859-873-3481. If you are interested in donating funds or materials contact: Mike McCall  859-256-3132.
